Continuing with the rough cut

We're having a little problem of deciding on the credit structure. We were feeling tentative about when should the name of the stars appear on screen. From the credit structure we identified in our lessons, we can clearly see that the star's names should appear at the very beginning. One of our editor then came up with the idea of inserting the star's name when that particular star's face appears in the movie instead. What we achieved in this  lesson is trying to suit the background music, the moment the scene changes, and text appearances to make look as smooth as possible when they combine. We also had difficulties of choosing the font. The middle part of the movie is still not imported because we'd just finished filming it, due to shortage of stunts from the last two weeks.

Feedback from our rough cut

Already good:
  • The paints used are really cool
  • Good underwater shot
  • Good music
  • The actor is very hot
  • Good location
Needs to be improved:
  • The underwater shot was too long
  • Sometimes the camera is shaky
  • Why was he wearing a swimsuit
  • Quite rough-still needs things added to it
Responding to feedback:

We will cut some parts of the pool shot as we agree that it is too long, but in term of it being slightly shaky, we like this effect as it helps to set the mood of the spy drowning/struggling.

To solve the suit and being half naked situation we have decided to add in a "seductive/killer" scene, where George (the spy) is being seduced..clothes are being taken off.. but in the end turns out the girl is the killer and she shoots him and pushes him into the pool, therefore explaining why he is half naked.

This is how we picture the seductive killer: A little bit flirty and bitchy

Golden Giant Film Production

Theme we picked: SPY THRILLER

Planning process

Production meeting:

We've been discussing about our company name and we picked "golden giant". We also agreed on the schedule for the filming day. We intend to complete the filming part in one day. We want to make a kind of spy thriller film that is hard for the audience to predict what's going to happen next.

Filming day

Schedule for the day we're filming
Date: Friday 15th Jan 2016
When: After school
Location: Ideo Condominium, Charan-Interchange

Plan:
Leave school at 4 pm
Expected to arrive at 6 pm
18:00-1820: make up
18:20-18:45: Corridor scene
18:45-19:00: Elevator scene
19:00 onwards: Swimming pool scene
Finish: 20:00

Problems faced:

Unfortunately two actors turned out to be busy today so we'll be filming less for today. The schedule is pretty much the same but we'll cut the corridor scene and film it later instead. Also, we made small changes to the schedule and include more shots than we planned. The time we finished also delayed by exactly one hour and a half.

Our new schedule
